We are super excited to share this new line of dry dog food that Merrick recently came out with called Backcountry Raw Infused. The dry dog food is an beginning intermediary step between dry processed kibble and a raw-fed diet (find out what a raw feeder thought of Merrick’s new line of food). The food sample came in a beautifully packaged box featuring a wolf. I must admit that I immediately fell in love with the packaging!
However, the food is not only beautiful packaging. It contains:
- Freeze dried raw pieces
- Various exotic proteins
The food is a high-protein recipe that is also grain-free.
We were sent a small dry food bag and can of wet food to try.
We went for a walk at the river and then everyone tried the dry food and the raw when we got home.
They loved the food-especially the little bits of raw mixed in with the kibble. Everyone wolfed down their dinner and excitedly asked for more.
The wet food comes in five varieties and include proteins such as rabbit, venison, and salmon.
Merrick’s food is all Made in the USA in their Texas kitchens.
